introducing
I was desperate to breastfeed my tiny preemie.
I went to countless support groups, utilized the hospital lactation services, etc and it seemed that I was going to either have to exclusively pump or transition to formula because my baby could not latch.
While working with an amazing SLP to strengthen my son’s suck, swallow, breathe reflex, I focused on connecting with my baby, observing the cues he was giving me, and at 4.5 months, he latched while we were at home and we never looked back.
However, that 4.5 months ignited a passion in me and a desire to make sure that no mom goes through what we did to get there.
I had an emergency induction during the 35th week of my first pregnancy.
At The Milk Lab, we're committed to supporting mothers throughout their journey, whether they're expecting or have already given birth.
Our mission is to empower and assist mothers without judgment, enabling them to achieve their breastfeeding goals and make decisions that best suit their families.
To add salt to the wound,
while I was pregnant, I tried to find classes to teach me how to breastfeed since it wasn’t something I had been exposed to much of. I could not find anything that was reputable during that time.
